First things first, I am super grateful to everyone sharing their advice with me - it has been what has helped me get Mariposa to where it is today! But sometimes the advice just doesn’t work for me or my business! ⬇️

1. Girls and Boys Designs
Inclusivity is one of our biggest values at Mariposa, which is why we never separate our designs into typical male and female designs and would NEVER pressure any into choosing a design that is typically male or female - fun for all!

2. Credit Card Surcharge:
Oddly enough this is a huge pet peeve of mine (which can hardly be avoided these days) but it always makes me happy when a client sees there isn’t a surcharge and smiles or comments on the price remaining the same

3. Sourcing Cheaper Materials
It’s no secret that face paints aren’t cheap, however there is no way I would compromise either the effectiveness of my work or the person’s skin I am painting on just to save a few dollars! We only use artist grade hypoallergenic paints sourced from Australian companies!

4. Charging extra for glitter
For me, this is an automatic no! And to each their own, but how can you deny a face paint glitter! It is an absolute must and I don’t feel the need to charge extra for a few sparkles.
